Today the interns came in to present. They explained to the class about how we should go about communicating with the children. They gave us examples of how to get the kids attention and keep them focused. We learned about how much the youngsters can understand and what interests them, like primary colors help get their attention.

Brainstorming ideas for the one-act play was the main focus of todays class. Also, we held auditions. The ideas were simple and short. most of them were well developed but only one could win. We settled on a story about three bees playing soccer. They exclude a ladybug. The bees lose their ball in a small hole that only a ladybug can reach. She gets the ball then the bees let her and all the other bugs play soccer too.

Today in class we came down to the student work area to do a couple runs of the play. We wanted to see how things worked out and what we needed to change. One of our biggest problems would have to be that some of the actors were not talking loud enough. Also some of the students are lacking focus and we all need to get back on track.

Today was the big day. We put on the show for the preschoolers. The books we made were giving to the kids. To make it more personal each of us gave a book to a child. Over all things went well and all the kids left with smiles on there faces. From this whole experience our class learned so many things that would not have been able to do without being hands on with this project.
